How do you secure data from cameras?

Graphic data samples from the cameras are sent to the cloud, where they are continuously analyzed and converted into information. Nursee retains only those data samples where a danger has been detected, such as a fall, while the remaining data is immediately deleted. In the event of detected danger, the data sample allows the staff to verify the received notification.

Who has access to the image from the cameras?

Nursee primarily provides event notifications and statistical data based on video analysis, rather than the video itself. Some accident notifications may include additional images to further verify the alert. Only designated staff have access to this data. Full live video feed from the cameras is available only in configuration mode during the system installation.

How does your technology work?

Nursee uses cameras as a source of information and employs AI Vision techniques to understand what is happening in the observed space. Depending on the events being analyzed, AI analysis may use single frames or sequences of frames. The data analysis techniques are chosen to ensure maximum effectiveness.

What are current functions and future plans?

Currently, Nursee can detect falls, bed exits, and room exits. Additionally, Nursee can identify hazards such as smoke, fire, and breaches of safety zones. In the future, we plan to introduce features for analyzing daily and nightly activity. Monitoring changes in daytime activity profiles will allow for tracking patient recovery, especially in hospitals. Meanwhile, sleep monitoring and detecting sleep disorders will help identify the risk of developing conditions such as depression or the occurrence of a stroke. We are also working on monitoring hygiene and epidemiological standards. This will help reduce the number of hospital-acquired infections and, consequently, the use of antibiotics.

Are your caregivers being monitored?

Similar to patients, Nursee detects dangerous situations, such as falls, for staff members. However, Nursee does not offer additional monitoring of staff. Our primary focus is to support the staff in carrying out the mission to which they are dedicated: helping patients.

Is the camera better than a wristband?

Both the camera and wristband can detect falls. However, the camera has the added benefit of identifying fall risks before they occur, such as detecting when a patient is too close to the edge of the bed. The camera also enables the analysis of behaviors and events within the broader context of the patient’s environment. As a rich source of information, video allows Nursee to continually enhance its capabilities with additional analytics, including those related to medical procedures. Wristbands, on the other hand, require additional maintenance. They need regular charging, and ensuring that patients, especially those with dementia, consistently wear them can be difficult, as such patients may simply remove them. Despite this, wristbands offer unique advantages, such as monitoring heart rate and temperature. In summary, both cameras and wristbands have their respective strengths and limitations, and they can complement each other effectively.
